I am so happy we finally went strawberry picking over the weekend. Strawberry season is one of those things I look forward to every year.
I am also happy my parents came along with us because they were extremely amusing. My mom decided to pick her strawberries in the most peculiar way. She cut the stems with the nail clipper she keeps in her purse because she doesn't want to hurt the berries. I tried to explain to her that it doesn't hurt them to pick them by hand, but she was not convinced.
Umm, I've had the same nail clipper idea before! haha! I thought about going with snips! Your Mom and I are on the same page! Beautiful photos, Celine! xox
Aww.. very cute! Our neighbour came home from a strawberry picking expedition this weekend, and so far we've benefited through mounts of fresh berries and an awesome strawberry tart! Maybe we'll have to go pick some ourselves, too :)
omigosh i've been wanting to do the same thing! especially since strawberries are now in season. where did you end up going? (and do you know of any that are easy to reach by any sort of public transit in the gta?) i think i'll probably have to convince one of my car-owning friends that this is something s/he wants to do. heh.
i love strawberry picking! my town was famous for its strawberries but the farm, and the self picking, just closed down. so sad! these pictures are gorgeous!
i love the narrative of your photos. also, that is so lovely of your mom!
ReplyDeleteAwww, your mom sounds adorable, haha! What farm is this, if I may ask? (I'm also from Toronto and was hoping to go picking this summer as well!)
