We escaped the city this past weekend. This is really special for us as we rarely take weekend trips or leave the city. We stayed in a cabin up north and enjoyed the quiet surroundings. I think Eloise really enjoyed it too.
My favourite part was picnicking by the river, watching the sun set on the porch and just being at peace with my little family. I am always amazed at how beautiful Ontario is when you drive a few hours north. Next time, we want to stay longer.
i love getting away to nature. i always imagine myself hiding away for a few years in a cabin, just learning the proper rhythms of nature and getting back in touch with my inner self...and then reality sinks in, and i start thinking about bills and rent and my boyfriend, and i realize it'll probably always be just a dream to live that way. but it's nice to escape to every now and again!
We're so looking forward to our trip up to cottage country this Summer. I have this dream that we're going to go there and just stay... indefinitely. If only!
Eloise is absolutely an adorable baby especially in the fifth photograph. Ah! Sounds like it was a wonderful trip and I hope this week is just as pleasant! xx
