small gardens
Even with limited space in the city, people seem to make an effort to have a small garden for themselves in Seoul. I loved seeing their carefully arranged gardens usually consisting of small potted plants. They make it look so good.
This has inspired me to do the same at home. I miss gardening so much.

I love these small little gardens! They're so cute!
ReplyDeleteoooh is that like a little well in the second last photo? And them flowers in that first photo are freakin adorable! I have no green thumbs but those potted posies make me want to dabble in this sort of thing!! :D
ReplyDeletewow, i love these! so glad you had a great time on your trip.
ReplyDeleteLove all the different pots/plants in the second one! An eclectic collection of potted plants is really appealing to me. Gorgeous colour in that first one too.
ReplyDeleteYes yes these are great! A little bit of green really does alter the mood, for the better of course :)
ReplyDeleteTry to do the same in France and you will be very desappointed!!! I've seen such little street gardens in Japan last year and I enjoyed them very much!!
ReplyDeleteCatherine ( from France)
Oooh, awesome! I love the little rectangular box : )
ReplyDeleteSo sweet. I like the tiny pond. :)
ReplyDeleteOh how cute! I've been rather into bonsai lately just like an old man *lol* I love your posts as always!
ReplyDeleteThe fourth one down is perfect!
ReplyDeleteSmall AND cute :)
ReplyDeleteI like the little white and red house nestled in to the background of the last garden :)

I don't have a green thumb, but I must admit I'm inspired to plant more! The ranunculus are my favorite.
ReplyDeletethat is so cool, I love those small gardens!
ReplyDeleteI have planted some flower seeds in old tin cans, however only one came out :) but it is the start of my small balcony garden :)
so inspiring! as always, you capture them beautifully.
ReplyDeleteOh, the ranunculus! I love that photo... and that plant.
ReplyDeletePlanted my own 'potted garden' last weekend! It's one of my favourite parts about summer.
I noticed this in Japan too! Everywhere people used their little spaces to grow plants. I think it is a bit harder here because it's not as humid. Good luck with your garden!
ReplyDeleteOh and also Canadians are so rude and I had potted plants on my front porch on Dovercourt and someone stole some! Argh!!
ReplyDeleteahhh i just got back from vietnam a month or so ago and this made me ache for it. different, but many similarities. you captured the vibrant colors so well.
ReplyDeleteI love this - it just goes to show that there really is a way, where there's a will. I read recently about a project proposal out of Milan for mobile, parking-space-sized gardens that people could rent - or rather, they would rent the parking space as they would for their car, and park a green mobile there, instead! I think it's a brilliant idea, especially considering the inclusion of Wifi hotspot, bench, street lamp... so many birds with a single stone: http://www.smart-urban-stage.com/blog/future-of-the-city/crowded-cities/ I can't think of a place this couldn't work. Fewer cars, more green!
