They said that it only gets better.
When I heard that in the first few weeks, my reaction was "I really hope so". The beginning was tough.
At 3 months, I quietly did not believe them because it was already so good, how could it get even better?
Today is 5 months, all we do is giggle and play and every time she smiles at me, I feel like my heart will explode.
They were right. It just keeps getting better.
... and better and better! My 17-month-old daughter can actually talk to me now, knows what I'm saying to her, and likes to play dress-up. I didn't believe it either, but every month is more wonderful than the last. Still, I can't wait to start over again with a precious newborn in January... and this time it's a boy!

ReplyDeleteI do believe our babes are e.x.a.c.t.l.y the same age! Can't believe how fast it goes and how sweet are all the little moments. I certainly agree that things are SO much better after those first months. Lovely!

Don't you just love that?! It even keeps getting better still!! Edwin is 8 months and I swear he's just the best little person on the planet to be around. Yay babies :)
