Correspondence

I have been sending a lot of mail to my friends this month. Some, are to local friends, and I am sending a gift just because. Others are friends that moved far far away from me, and a care package from home is in order. Mail from home is the best when you move far far away. I just wish Canada Post wasn't so expensive.

The last photo is a postcard I letterpressed on Sunday! My friend and I took a letterpress curiosity workshop, taught by Tanya (who, is having an exciting giveaway right now!). But more on the workshop in another post. I have to send this to Norway.

Home from our Holiday

How have your last 2 weeks been? We are back from our road trip/cottage holiday, and I have so much to show you. But first, I have to solve a space issue on my computer, because I have been taking too many photos and my hard drive is running out of space. Digital organization is so hard, especially when it creeps up on you.

I don't make new years resolutions, but this year I made a list of things I wanted to do in 2009.

1. Learn how to make pie from scratch
2. Learn how to knit mittens
3. Go strawberry picking
4. Travel somewhere I have never been to before
5. Make a baby quilt for my friends
6. Make a DRESS!! (c'mon Celine, you can do it!)
7. Take more pictures

The pie crust turned out great by the way, that was the part I was most afraid to not succeed! The apple part was a bit sour, I used Granny Smith. Next time, I will have to try another sort of apple. Fuji maybe?
