The end of summer is near and of course we have to make it to the CNE to eat fried foods, sugar and see the lights. We had so much fun taking Eloise to the CNE this year, she wanted to go on the rides for the first time. She is still too little to go on most of the rides which was so sad, how do you explain to a 2 year old that they are too short to ride the truck ride?

At first, she was really excited to go on the ferris wheel but changed her mind in the middle of it. The merry-go-round and catching frogs with Gabe was a winner though!

Bye bye summer, I am going to miss you...

Ever changing

We had so much fun strawberry picking last year with Eloise that I couldn't wait to do it again this year. But I forgot that toddlers are fickle and never remain the same. She did not like it this year and wanted to leave almost immediately. A few factors may have changed her mood towards picking strawberries this year though. By the time we arrived, it was already noon and it was hot. Strawberry season opened late this year because of the harsh winter we had and they weren't as sweet to Eloise.

So we picked flowers for her grandmother instead. I'm glad she found something else she liked doing!
