correspondence : bonjour!

I have been sending a lot of mail to my friends this month. Some, are to local friends, and I am sending a gift just because. Others are friends that moved far far away from me, and a care package from home is in order. Mail from home is the best when you move far far away. I just wish Canada Post wasn't so expensive.

The last photo is a postcard I letterpressed on Sunday! My friend and I took a
letterpress curiosity workshop, taught by Tanya (who, is having an exciting giveaway right now!). But more on the workshop in another post. I have to send this to Norway.

  3. I love mail and care packages. I agree though, Canada post is outrageous! It cost me $28 to ship two small bubblepacks to MB. :(

  4. LOVE those envelopes/package! Adore the penmanship on #3.
That first one though, would never make it through the U.S. mail -- the pretty string would get hung up in the automated sorter.

  5. Real paper post is just the best. Writing letters feels so personal too... but you're right about the cost. Still, it's worth it for the novelty of receiving something unexpected and lovely through the letterbox!
    I need some pretty stationary...

  26. I just finished reading a book called The Letter Opener (uh, I think that's what it's called - by Kyo Maclear)...anyway, it reminded me of the "lost" art of writing letters and how I'd love to bring it back in my life. Glad that someone is still making pretty packages!
