I am enjoying the last few weeks of the farmer's market, I will be so sad to see it go.

The colours are stunning at this time of year. Nature really goes out with a bang!

  13. OOh tomatillos! I love a good salsa verde but we can only seem to buy canned tomatillos from a specialty store here. Oh yes I love fresh produce markets too.

    and those beets in particular: have you perhaps tried nigel slater's chocolate cake with beets (from tender vol. 1)? i want to give it a try very soon!
